Ok, it's 12:30am and I'm walking across the family room to turn off the Christmas lights, when I am flying thru the air, arms outstretched and I have that split second of slow motion realization that I just tripped over my blind dog Ollie, who was laying across my path. I can visiualize my look of surprise, turning to a grimace of pain as first my right thigh and elbow hit, then my left inner arm and God knows what else crash down on the ceramic over cement floor, covered only by a one inch thick area rug.....(next time I am springing for the more expensive thicker one). CRAP!!!
Now it's 5:30am, I've woken up in need of more ibuprofen, gotten back into bed and start giggling, then laughing - really?? Everything hurts, but all I can think about is my husband Dana yelling from the other side of the house "what the hell is going on over there?"! Not "Honey, are you ok, are you hurt?", as I would have said to him after hearing a body slam to the floor. No, just "what the hell is going on over there?"! MEN!!!!!
So now it's two days later and I am hurting in places that I didn't even realize were injured. My body feels like it does after starting a new, very vigorous exercise program. Right now I feel like I did too many squats, crunches, and especially rows!! Ow, ow, ouchie!!! The bruising has just started and I am sure by tomorrow I will be a lot more colorful.
So, that was my Thanksgiving weekend, how was yours?
