My husband and I had a very nice cruise vacation celebrating our 28th wedding anniversary and my husband's 60th birthday. We visited Bermuda, St Thomas, Grand Turk and spent time before and after in New York, NY. We loved Bermuda and Grand Turk and hope to spend more time there in the future. Of course we just had to do some shopping in St. Thomas (a must for any visit there). While in NY we walked around the new Times Square pedestrian mall and were amazed at the number of people enjoying the beautiful evening and all that the heart of New York had to offer. We also ate dinner at Becco (yummy) and attended the musical 'Anything Goes', which won the Tony Award this year for the best musical revival. It was GREAT and Joel Grey was an adorable curmudgeon as usual.
We were supposed to visit San Juan, Puerto Rico on this cruise as well, but since Tropical Storm 'Emily' was chasing us around the Caribbean, we had to skip the port on this trip - ah well, maybe in the near future we can make it back there!
It's been back to work for us, but we are now looking forward to our son's wedding then a short Christmas Cruise on the Disney Dream. We can't wait, and since the hurricane season should be over (sometimes you just never know - 2004 anyone?), we should have smooth sailing!
Until then........
